Going dark can sometimes be beneficial and should not be confused with being incognito.
An average adult spends 5-6 hours a day on their phone. This does not take into account working on the computer, time sending and reviewing emails, etc. This constant creates a conflict in our reality of the world.https://www.statista.com/statistics/1224510/time-spent-per-day-on-smartphone-us/
Sometimes we do need to turn it off. And I will be doing just that for a week. I am taking advantage of it because of travel.
Unless it is a life-threatening event, whatever is calling you on your devices will still be there when you come back on. And it is a possibility that you will discover many of the things we say yes to all the time are just wastes of our time.
Do something important like spend time with your children, your spouse gardening long walks without the phone. You might learn there is time in your life for you.
